  1. HOT…still waiting on Nasir’s voice about the album title change…how will he sell it?

  2. Man….the first verse of this song is one of the best of his career. And this hook is fucking incredible. Wish he wouldn’t teeter off with the second two verses, but I’m honestly impressed. If the album is like this, it could actually be worth all of this.

  3. Shit sounds classic.

  4. How can anyone question the guy[’s intentions with this album?
If anything we should be thankful for him bringing the issue to the table.

  5. this shit is DOPE!!!

NAS = The Greatest of All Time!!!!

  6. why do you have to bite other people’s lingo, firsth nahright and now xxl’s antisemitic words..SMH

  7. I knew he wouldn’t go through with it. But you have to give the guy credit for knowing how to stir up media buzz for his upcoming album. Float it out there that you’re going to use the most offensive and controversial word in American culture as the title for your new album and - POW! - instant media frenzy!

Controversy sells - plain and simple. Apparently even feigned controversy.

  8. give him credit? stir up media buzz? while that’s all well and good, that’s also a contribution to the death of hip-hop. another example of nas’ hypocrisy, if you ask me…

controversy sells magazines and internet ads. bad music don’t sell shit in hip-hop.

  9. amen to that khal.

Im mean if he pulled a Pac how Pac named his album Strictly for my…, and named his album n.i.g.g.e.r. (with each word meanign something) and then I would be down for it, and not as pissed about him goin back on his word. He’s smart enough, he can think of something.

  10. This is bangin’…..

  11. Dope track. There’s hope for the album after all.

New Music Cartel all day. Fuck a TI and a TD. Yeah Im talking NBA this early. How wack would it be if LA and the Celts lost?

Spurs + Pistons + NBA Finals = YAWN

  12. after all the shit nas has been saying that he’s not afraid to name his album nigger, I can’t take any of his lyrics seriously. The whole album is ruined for me

  13. >> we don’t succumb to Tall Israelis.

  14. This is throwed…looking forward to the album.

  21. [Chorus]

    They say we N – I - Double G – E – R
we - are - much more,
    still we choose to ignore,
    the obvious.
Man this history don’t acknowledge us,
We was scholars long before colleges.

    They say we N – I - Double G – E – R
we - are - much more,
but still we choose to ignore,
    the obvious.
We are the slave and the master,
    What you looking for?
You the question and the answer.

    We trust no black leaders,
Use the stove to heat us,
    Powder eggs and government cheeses,
The calendar was Martin, JFK, & Jesus,
    Gotta be fresh
Go to school with fly sneakers.
    Schools with outdated books,
    we are the forgotten,
Summers coolin’ off by the fire hydrant.
    Yeah I’m from the ghetto,
Where old black women talk about they sugar level,
    It’s not unusual,
To see photos of dead homies’ funerals,
    Aluminum foil on t.v. antennas
Little TV sit on top the big TV eatin TV dinners,
Girls die they hair with kool-aid,
They gave us lemons we made lemonade,
    But this nigga’s paid,
    Ancestry of slaves,
    Descendant of Kings
    It’s necessary I,
    Bling,
    Puts rings on every thing
    Where Timbs on every scene.

    [Chorus]

Do I mean it like a slave master?
    NIGGER!
    No!
    I’m gangsta
    Gotta eat rappers!
    My abbreviation
Was young when I caught the cases,
That should mean the court could see my changes
    Take off the bracelets,
    Savage when broke,
    Smoke sour diesel
    Need no Bo-flex
My chest still cut-up like a bag of dope,
Thought patterns consist of boss matters,
    Spit Moses’ “Lost Commandments”
Like a gross sandwich out my mouth.
    Toast to government cameras
    Peepin us every week
I must have my cars homes & phones
    squeaked for bugs,
but this is what I was dreamin of,
between cutting hard coke with new razors
    slicing my fingers up,
they use to string us up,
    we wanted everything,
but the one bringing us cake be the snakes
    like the…
like the New Jack City wedding scene
no time for mistakes trying to get it like (M___?)

    [Chorus]

    My nig…
    Whattup my nig?
    People afraid of criticism
But I always put myself in a sacrificial position!
They been know I ain’t just rappin for fame,
I got my old homie (___?) the father asking for change!
Yep! I’d give this cash up
    This paper don’t matter
They seen me from skinny to fatter
    When I rap about war,
They got the tendency to scatter,
They ain’t my backup no more,
So now my enemies are at my front door,
    Cuz any time we mention
our condition, our history or existence,
    they calling it reverse racism,
still till today the street’s torn,
my brother Jungle always have a seat for ‘em
not behind me - beside me
you’ll always know where to find me,
they say the close ones will hurt you,
so let’s keep a small circle,
on the road to riches, and diamond rings
in the land of the blind
the man with one eye is the king.

    [Chorus]

  25. IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE NEW NAS ALBUM ITS OBVIOUS THAT UR NOTHING MORE THAN A HATER. THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM SINCE TUPACS ME AGAINST THE WORLD. FUCK ALL THE BULLSHIT! MUSIC HAS LOST ITS CULTURE TO MONEY AND BUSINESS. MUSIC QUALITY IS AT A ALL-TIME LOW. MY FAVORITE SONG IS AMERICA. IF THIS ALBUM DOESN’T MAKE HISTORY IT WOULD BE A SHAME. THIS IS NAS BEST ALBUM TO DATE. GOD BLESS YOU MAN AND EVEN THOUGH UR A MASON IT DOESN’T MATTER BECAUSE YOUR NOT AFRAID TO GO BEYOND THE BROTHERS OF THE CRAFT AND RISE UP FOR PEOPLE AS A WHOLE. NO MATTER WHAT RACE RELIGION OR BELIEFS ARE.

IF YOU GOT SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS ALBUM, FUCK YOU AND ALL I GOTTA SAY IS THAT KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. IGNORANCE DIES AS THE SLAVE OF DECEIT

  26. I must admit that I had total faith in Nas and am now amazed by the greatness of this album
