Hiphop used to be HARD to get hold of, pre-internet if you weren't in a big city. Westwood's show on the radio was literally the only place you could hear that hardcore hip-hop, MTV and big radio got as far as Eminem and Will Smith and little else. Even Hard Knock Life, about as pop as a single could get, didn't break radio. So you had to listen to Westwood. And he's always played what he thought was hottest, even if it wasn't, you had to respect him for trying. But then there comes a tipping point listening to that voice and persona. Some people stop listening, some tried shooting him (and hit). Recently though, he's started to notice he's become a caracture (sp?) of the stupid ass white boy. So he's made his schtick funny and he's still trying to play hard beats. And that's the thing, he's also got repped for the quality of tunes he played, just now he's got old in the game, he comes off with jokes knowing he's ridiculous.
